Stay away from the plastic ones like the plague if possible. Its a crap shoot whether  or not you are getting a working one or how long it will last.

Otherwise Randy has a good source for rebuild kits with then & now auto..

Interestingly enough at a recent show a guy had a Ed Dog bucket filled with metal ones of all types. $10 a pump.  If I didn't have my head up my rear I shoulda got some for distribution here,

Lincoln at A-Z Tractor parts can probably fix you up with one.    https://www.a-ztractor.com/          Give him a call.

Thanks guys! Yes… I wish you would’ve bought the bucket. I probably would’ve bought a handful😊

I believe that's where we saw him. Actually thought he was at Portage last week too.

Yep that's where I stumbled past the pumps.

Most of those OLD pumps just have the check valve disks. (Not the POD type)

Open it up, DON'T loose the springs, clean the disks and flip them over, clean the seat where those disks sit on, re-assemble. You can verify the check valves are good with a piece of hose connected to the output and try to blow backwards against the normal flow of fuel. Should be minimal air movement. If so, Re-install it and you're good to go. :twocents-02cents:

Depending upon the tractor, if the gas tank is higher than the carb, bypass the pump. The pump is needed for hills and such which could put the tank lower.

Hey guys just wanted to provide you with an update. The diaphragm in the fuel pump had been dry for so long it began to crack. I replaced it with a diaphragm I ordered from isavetractors.com and it now runs flawlessly. I will still be on the lookout for parts here and there as I would love to keep this engine as original as possible. Thanks!
