ri702bill 8,390 #3 Posted July 6 (edited) Moe - this is not exactly a backyard operation, special tools are required for guide removal, insertion, and to size the ID once installed. All 3 steps must be done properly to assure that the guide ID is round and perpendicular to the head of the valve, so that the valve sits on the seat evenly... This Kohler manual should help - see page 6 of Section 11... Note the installed position of the guide position in the block - it does not press to a stop.
