Ok I have a chance to buy another sickle mower. The guy said he put new bushings and seal in the wobble box. Rest of it looks ok. He wont give a price for it. He said make offer. Well I don’t know what it is worth. What is the going price for these?

That's nearly impossible to say without more info and pictures. A mechanically excellent unit will easily bring  $5-700. I paid way less for that but I'm pretty sure the guy thought it was just scrap metal because of the condition of it. If it looks good, moves good, all the cutters in place and generally looks like a nice serviceable unit I would start at $300. In that condition I doubt you'll buy it for that but it should force him to put a price on it. I generally won't deal with a guy like that. I also don't like to negotiate. Tell me a price and if it's worth it TO ME I take it. Otherwise I just walk away.

One thing to check is the special drive pin/bolt where the wobble box arm connects to the cutter bar. Mine was toast. Fortunately @Lane Ranger had a few he had made up and I was lucky enough to get one. I have no clue if he has any more. :)

I offered him $200 and he took it. Looks in good condition but needs a couple knives which I have left over from the other mower.
