oliver2-44 9,787 #3 Posted July 3 (edited) @Achto retrofitted a pump to a tractor up high behind the engine. Kind of like where a starter generator would mount on the older 60,s tractors. I believe he had to switch to a physically smaller battery from a motorcycle to make it all fit. So doable with some creativity. Achto 27,641 #4 Posted July 3 I mounted this pump on to a Raider 12. The pump I used had to spin clock wise so it had to drive off of the flywheel side of the engine. 953 nut 55,394 #5 Posted July 3 It could be mounted much like the "HY" units from older models but you would also need to change out the implement lift handle and rockshaft unless you made an entirely new rear lift for the plow. Moonshine*Connoisseur 435 #9 Posted July 4 (edited) Sort of unrelated but I had to add, when I recently finished my v8/ 4 speed swap in my 76 Ford Maverick, I had to get creative on the clutch z-bar linkage since the z-bars for Mavericks are basically non existant anymore. I modified a 66 Mustang z-bar and added 2 heim joints on each end of the linkage. What a smooth difference ! It's because of this I am finding any reason to use these exclusively when the need arises, especially on steering rods for the Wheel Horses. I'm not saying heim joints don't fail but it'll take alot longer for them to wear. They tolerate angles and load very well.
