876wheelhorse 46 #1 Posted September 2, 2009 looking to put a 10 hp in a short frame. i have a 876. was going to move the engine over half inch so the pulleys line up for the belt. i was just wanting to know if anyone has done it. is there something i am missing to modify. let me know also looking for a complete running engine in nw ohio ne indiana sw mich. willing to travelfor one Share this post Link to post Share on other sites
Kelly 1,029 #2 Posted September 2, 2009 The factory did it in 65, on the 1045, 1055 and 1075, to keep it all under the hood you will need a small base engine block, and a short oil pan, if you move the engine to the side you will have to modify the hood even with the short pan, the factory used a diff, belt guard, and trans pulley and clutch pulley , and a few other special parts for the swap, so yes it can but done.
