My Grandmother had one of those but it was a double basin. I remember when her nephew who was a plumber tore out the one barrel model and installed the 2 barrel in the mid 60's. It was still in the house when it was sold in 1990!

Looks to be either a "Youngstown" or a "GE" ... Both were quality items from the 1960's... Painted quite a few..... in my much younger days.....

That’ awesome!  The counter portions look like drying racks.

Today's kitchen has countertops made of sawdust with plenty of places for water to leak down thru the cabinets.  We can't have that old one piece of cast iron because there would be no reason to swap out the entire kitchen every few years and get the latest style.

I believe it‘s realy heavy.

Back in the day‘s, i be a trainee as a Plumber we have to exchange serveral old Cast bathtubes to new Steel ones.

Sometimes we must carry them by hands from 5th or 6th floor down to Ground, because there was no lift in the buildings.

So we cut it with a grinder in Quaters to be able to carry them downstairs by hand.

I remember, that was a awkward and heavy job.

A huge Grinder and a huge Steelhammer are the tools to go for it.

Today this old Bathtubes become the „vintage status“ and some on a race for it go get one but there was just few they survived.

estimated i would guess between 140 to 180 pounds??

Cool sink, but if I brought it home my better half would have me sleeping in the shed.

That was the 50's and 60's, times were simpler then, makes a person that lived in that time want to go back sometimes.

We painted up some cabinets similar to those for our mom’s store. They turned out really nice.IMG_0218.jpeg.d5166b606e304519c2ebe6aa0240d60a.jpeg
