Sparky-(Admin) 21,328 #1 Posted June 13 I know it’s a ways out…but my weather app shows HOT days for Biglerville next Thursday thru Saturday. Better than rain ( maybe rain on Saturday)…but going to need sunscreen and drink plenty of water folks!

rmaynard 15,512 #7 Posted June 13 As we always say in my area (only 39 miles away), If you don't like the weather, wait a minute. Just two weeks ago, I had reserved space at an outdoor antique market in Gettysburg. For 10 days ahead, the forecast was for rain, rain, and more rain on the date of the event. Well, Friday came, no rain, Saturday came, no rain. That is just the nature of weather in these parts. For any of you who have been to the big show, how many times have we seen rain clouds moving in from the west only to have them move on without rain? I'd rather have a little rain that to have high 90's. Keep your fingers crossed and send positive juju to the rain gods.
wallfish 17,011 #8 Posted June 13 One year it was so sweltering hot, in the mid to upper 90s with high humidity and 0 wind. We needed the rain to try and wash away some of that old man BO mixed with exhaust fumes that was stuck on everything! LOL 3

Handy Don 12,235 #16 Posted June 13 Rain came down like a monsoon once but lasted only for a couple of hours. Lots of guys driving tractors through puddles inches deep.
c-series don 8,720 #17 Posted June 14 I hope they stock the concession stand with plenty of ice cold water, like @Sparky said we are going to need it! Ice cream social is going to be nice when the sun goes down. Hot or not, I’m excited as usual! It’s become my annual pilgrimage. Looking forward to seeing so many of you that I have grown to know over the years, and meeting some new folks as well. 5

kthack657 279 #20 Posted June 15 I am going overboard with drinks, water, iced tea, powered, soda, hint water, and more...I do not mess around with the hear. Tractorhead, the sun hits different in the states, it is hotter, I remember living in Niedersachen that it never felt so hot, but here it can feel sweltering...

Southern Bavaria where @Tractorhead lives 5 or so degrees closer to Biglerville, but is at ~2,000 ft vs. B’ville at 650.
