pjjack77@msn.com 0 #1 Posted June 12, 2024 My 520H when placed in forward it goes about 5 feet stops. It will back up the same distance and stop. when it stops in either direction it squels like a belt slipping. It had been mowing really well up to that point.
gwest_ca-(File Mod) 11,121 #2 Posted June 12, 2024 Sounds like you have a worn drive belt. Pull the cover off and see. Adding Jack the back up a see how far you can turn the rear wheels. If it is almost one complete turn you may have a broken bolt in the differential. Don't force it and break something.
Ed Kennell 39,014 #3 Posted June 12, 2024 (edited) Five feet is about one rear tire rotation. Sounds like something is jamming the differential. Check the dipstick. Is the bottom end missing? Jack up both rear wheels. Spin one forward by hand. The other one should spin backwards. Edited June 12, 2024 by Ed Kennell
