Simplecity 22 #1 Posted June 5 Good Evening All Not sure if I will need one, however, can anyone supply the Delco Remy part number for a voltage regulator that is compatible with 1101973 starter generator? I cannot locate any part number on the one that I have. I see several with the same mounts (on top of the starter/gen) but the description only mentions generators. Thanks to all who respond Simplecity

Thanks to all who respond Simplecity It would help to know if you have a 3 or 4 terminal regulator now. Either one can be used, they just hook up a little differently. 3-terminal... https://brillman.com/product/12-volt-delco-voltage-regulator-standard-quality/ 4-terminal... https://brillman.com/product/standard-12-volt-delco-type-voltage-regulator/ The 4-terminal one looks largely identical to the 3, but has a 4th post underneath that goes to the A-terminal on the SG unit. IIRC on the 3-post that wire would just get hooked to the one labeled GEN and any connections that were on the L-terminal would get hooked to the B+, as the L is just a 12V supply for accessories like lights. I've had both of these units on my S/G tractors, and aside from me hooking something up incorrectly and causing damage I've never had a failure. Simplecity 22 #3 Posted June 6 Thank You very much for the links (mine is a 4 terminal style). The current (no pun intended) one that I have has vibration mounts that have dry rotted so the V/R will flop around if you are not careful. I could replace the mounts with some belting material, or just bite the bullet and replace the V/R. Thanks again Simplecity
ri702bill 8,387 #4 Posted June 6 IF you have an older Delco-Remy regulator, the voltage output can be adjusted rather easily - those had a screw. Newer ones are a PITA to adjust, you bend the upper spring mount hook. This should be of help, corny illustrations and all......
