squonk 41,595 #4 Posted June 2, 2024 (edited) First guess is there was some water in the transaxle at some point that rusted one or more bearings. it finally seized up. Here's how to work on it. From this statement I gather that the tractor will not move under its own power and can not be pushed, is that correct? There are a couple of probable causes. 1) The first one is reasonably easy to take care of, the second will be a bit more work. If your son was shifting rapidly the trans mission could be locked in two gears at the same time. The attached thread about the shift lever will help you out if this iks the case. 2) I have had the nut come off one of the bolts in a differential causing this.
