Aftermarket Muffler

Was wondering if anybody has found a decent after market muffler?

I haven’t  found a decent salt n pepper type that’s not too loud.
It’s going on a k181 B-80 tractor so space is kinda limited.

Not looking for a stack type really.

I have an original Nelson on my other B-80 and man it really sounds great.

thx for any suggestions

"Showerheads" and "Pepper Pots" by design ARE loud. They are short and not well baffled. The C81 style Nelson muffler is the opposite.

Yes Sir

The Nelson is a quality muffler.Too bad there not around anymore.Makes a 8hp sound like a big block, nice quiet rumble.

Found one on Fleabay, pretty pricey .

The smallest quiet muffler I've found is a replacement for the older Gravely.

Piped correctly you could likely get one under the hood. I'm not a believer in that location because of not wanting my carbs that warm.

I've installed a couple like this one on the '75 C160 Automatic.

Gravely 18543 I think?

"Rotary 8122"  is stamped into one on my parts shelf.

Been using these for years, mostly on 8hp engines but they're made for bigger engines. Nice low tone and seem to last long. Point it down, space isn't an issue. Might need to cut that extra small bracket off
