ebinmaine 67,498 #1 Posted May 30 Just a curiosity thing here... On my 1971 Bronco 14 there are two different side steps. See the pictures below. One has holes. The other does not. In my possession right now there are seven tractors built either 1974 or 1975. All of those have the straight flat step. No holes... Except one. Interestingly, it has the opposite side as the Bronco so at some point or another I'll swap them around. Doesn't much matter one way or the other but they just got me wondering if there was a certain year range, model, package, or whatever, that had holes in the steps on purpose. Jon Paulsen 290 #2 Posted May 30 416-8 #31160804 has one hole near the rear on both sides, then a square hole inboard center on the left side. Right side has what looks like the head of a carriage bolt inboard center; likely a square hole there.

Maz91 202 #4 Posted June 23 Long time no talk, stranger! My raider is ‘71 and on both sides the foot rests have holes. I also just found a YouTube video of a ‘72 and the footrests also have them.
