bo dawg 516 #1 Posted May 28 I got a 520 that Ive replaced everything electrical and gas wise, clean carb 3 xs, (from the top). Now got it really running good like new for a while, then it sputters out and dies. When it starts to sputter you can see alot of gas going into carb. Would the valves cause this if their out of adjustment? I spayed carb cleaner around the manifold and no sign of leaks, I think Im good there. So it has to be a bad carb or dirty valves/adjustment. But like I said when running normal its smooth as new!
lynnmor 7,322 #2 Posted May 28 I would pull the carburetor to clean it properly and adjust the valves if the engine has over 750 hours. It is always a good idea to check the compression to see if you have a healthy engine.
bo dawg 516 #3 Posted July 6 Dont mean to sound dumb, but Ive never done anything with adjusting valves or any internal engine work. Any one good at it thats near me that may help with this?
