WHX?? 48,813 #8 Posted May 25 (edited) The changeable inserts are pretty cool too bad they weren't with it. Still bet Pullstart could blacken a finger with it... Edited May 25 by WHX?? 1

Tractorhead 9,064 #10 Posted May 26 Find it a great tool, the both sided inserts make it more usable for different tasks. each side a other insert and you need just one Tool. that‘s smart imho.
ri702bill 8,310 #11 Posted May 26 FYI - ALL brass, copper, lead & babbit hammers are outlawed by OSHA - the tip disentergrates in use - flying projectiles......

Having used this particular type I can testify that this one is an accident waiting to happen. Nut securing inserts gets loose gradually from the impact vibration and from materials expansion and contraction. The latter is particularly true if one uses inserts of different materials on each side such as the leather and copper. The shrinkage of one material on one side also causes the other side to loosen. even with the same inserts on each side one constantly needs to worry about keeping nut tight. Its akin to using an hammer with a loose head that keeps coming off. 1

SylvanLakeWH 25,525 #15 Posted May 26 @WHX?? I thought about that but, Mrs. P and the kids are quite nice and have seen enough of @Pullstart without us encouraging him... or providing him with additional means of destruction... Ill be using it as a decorative accoutrement in the garage... 1

Lee1977 6,655 #17 Posted May 26 I don't have one like that, but I'll take the risk with my brass hammer when I need it.
Tractorhead 9,064 #18 Posted May 27 (edited) If it have a small nut ring made on the inserts, there was less danger the ends can fly easily. must be made aftersales. Take care, if Pullstart have it, he gona use it. 😂😂 not a danger if nobody is aside... a great tool if you want to work allone and need silence.. 😎 Free in the motto: is it dangerous, ok - i‘m in... 🤪😂 Edited May 27 by Tractorhead
