kpinnc 12,358 #3 Posted May 21 (edited) On any "classic" Eaton hydro (as in the pic), that is a safe assumption. Go with Rotella 10W-30 or similar. On an older machine with a Sundstrand, it's more complicated. Those hydros originally came with ATF in the transmission. Later Wheel Horse said motor oil was ok, provided you get all of the ATF out first. Personally, I still run ATF in any Sundstrand.
