A big factor that converted me from a lurker to a participant/supporter was the pervasive helpfulness and distinct lack of criticism. I have lurked around in here from time to time looking for answers. I always noticed the friendly atmosphere and the desire to help whoever needs it. Also, the lack of negativity. All of these things helped me in deciding that this was a community that I wanted to be a part of.
