ohiofarmer 3,265 #1 Posted May 17 Well guys we surely have had a time. On about March 15 we had a twister F1 that came from Winchester IN and got real determined. West of 118 that runs between Greenville and Ansonia and on North. That puppy ran nearly straight East about fifty yards along Horatio road . It really tire up some houses and loosened a bit if metal from my barn. I had twenty acres of field full of things from at least three miles away. The FFA from Ansonia and Mississinewa schools had it clean three days later. Then about a week ago another F1 came through Greenville itself and laid down two huge trees a half block from two rentals I have. It continued and really tore up the nature trees in a cemetery and the park ,but the damages were not as severe as the first one. Mostly trees on houses and cars with most of the trees being topped off. They were on the ground for 14 and 11 Mike's respectively which is longer than most FEW class as they tend to rise up and fall down along an irregular path. These guys were only one mile apart . I have been doing a bunch of nuisance tree removal anyway, so this just adds to the fun. I'm getting old and give out so I take my time to keep from tripping over branches. It hurts when you do Those farm boys working out of their own school districts are just top notch Thanks for listening 1
ebinmaine 67,474 #2 Posted May 17 Keep on.. keepin' on. We had the big nasty storm here in early April. 1.5 to 2 FEET of snow that was more like cement. Most tree damage I can ever remember. It'll take years to get some areas cleaned out. Give it heck and hope for the best!
