SylvanLakeWH 26,123 #451 Posted 17 hours ago Interesting that the rubber latches are mounted inside the hood on the Workhorse, but outside the hood on my C-105... I like yours better. Cleaner and less "in the way"...

The rubber latch seems to want to default to the inside if you don't hold it. However, they do give you something to hold onto to pull the hood down.
MainelyWheelhorse 627 #455 Posted 13 hours ago As I’ve said before, excellent work @cleatThe bar for a factoryesque restoration has been set.

My 92 312 and 87 308 are also rubber latches on the inside of the hood like @cleat’s Workhorse.
Bill D 2,008 #457 Posted 13 hours ago The 300/400 series use the same hood. On my machines I take a piece of old seat edge trim and install it on the upper dash so it cushions the hood when it closes.

It seems to work pretty well.

With this one I went a different route and glued a piece of rubber gasket material to the bottom of the hood.
