Interesting method of holding the transmission case off the ground.

Have to remember that...

Just a piece of 3/4" rod at the rear and a 3/8" bolt at the front with 3 jack stands.

I use the tractor loader to lift it up.

I will take pictures of the rigging when I put it back inside.

Rear end moved to the shop and sat on jackstands.

This is how it will rest until next winter.

I used Rustoleum spray bombs.

Grey primer and gloss black enamel.

My new muffler deflector with louvered outlet has arrived.

I got it for $3.50 CDN ($$2.19 US) so I am very happy with this.

I still need to paint the muffler.

On the fence with black or silver.

Factory colour I believe is silver.

I don't know the original color but the silver would contrast the black engine nicely.

Do you add any extra reinforcement here?

Extra washer. Piece of flat stock...

Installed rubber plug into hole in static guard.

Guard came to me with this hole, I assume they used it to check RPM.

Genuine Briggs gasket set arrived so I installed and torqued heads and valve breathers.

Bolts were lubricated with copper anti-seize.

I’d suspect that it held a medallion.
