RJ 59 throttle help

i do not know how to route this throttle cable on this RJ 59, i will attach some pictures, i watched packrats video on adjusting the govner on his 401, it did not look the same. also i think that and is way to long so that might be part of it. ( and also the color on that block looks beautifull) there is come pics, the more the better!

Lever is on the right side of the hood sitting on the tractor cable goes across the hood to the left and through the hole in the hood. Then down the left side of the engine then loops across the bottom and then goes up the right side of the engine from the bottom to the throttle linkage.

 @squonk that will not fit through the hood with that tab and it will not move at all, i will try to put it in a vice and put some pennatrating oil on it and try to work it around and see if it will move, where does it hook on down below? does it hookup to that circle on the govner?

Pry off that tab and recrimp after you get the cable to move and you get it through the hole. Yes it connects to the circle disc.

Just going by pics but it's hard to tell

Is that long bracket welded to the disc? If so, it's WAY too long.

Is there another smaller bracket hanging down behind the disc? That's the bracket in which the cable conduit and that tab connects to in order to hold it. The wire connects to the disc but havingb a short bracket on the disc allows for a much easier throttle control

I found another K91 in the shop, with a different routing.

 

I think the one I posted earlier is correct, but the engine won’t care if you have to change it up.

@Pullstart  that tractor  rop of dash cable routing also supports / enhances , cable lube , been experimenting with  3 in 1 penetrating oil  very good creep action , have also experimented with cable spring to close action , that way , at connection point you always have a spring assist to improve movement . have that on my 3 units , cables move with out effort , pete

I know it's a long bracket. It just doesn't belong there. Again, is it welded to the disc?

My RJ had the cable coming down the front of the engine on the recoil side and looped across from the bottom and attached like this picture.

OK, Since it's already on there leave about 1 inch of it on the disc if you cut it off. That way you can always drill a small hole for the throttle wire about 3/4 inch away from the disc edge. That extra length away from the disc will give it much better throttle control vs connecting the wire directly to the disc. But you don't need to do that right away just to get it going.

 

Loosen that brass nut with a 3/4" wrench so that other bracket behind the disc will swivel, so now you can connect the conduit to it like the pics above with that clamp. Notice how it is not positioned directly straight down like yours is? Connect the wire directly to the disc like above to get her going. If you find the throttle control is to sensitive and fast, then you can still use that other bracket on the disc to better control the throttle response.

      Grandpa wouldn't line up in right way.  Stubborn. Nice day today, got some of my herd out. 315-8 w/42" deck to mow. D200 to disc w/tandem disc. 520H w/36" tiller. And RJ59 with 36" Parker Sweeper. These horses done me well today.

      Looking for the measurements for items #69 mounting bracket and #79 lifting rod. So that I could fabricate and be able to install on my RJ59. Any pics of the mounting bracket would be a big help.
