When I turn the ignition key on my 312H often nothing happens, but if I quickly turn the lights off and on while turning the ignition key the starter engages.  Any ideas?

Thanks

Possible a faulty key switch.  The additional current from the lights is helping bridge across a dirty/worn contact

Also could be some corrosion in a fuse holder or any connection that "Warms Up" with the little bit of electrical flow the lights bring on.

Try cleaning the 25amp fuse holder.
