Carburetor not available, help!

Recommended Posts

Man I'll tell ya finding parts for a 252H is hard! I got the Kawasaki FB460V-BS26 engine (definitely some BS happening) and I'm trying to find a pn 15001-2815 Carburetor Assy. I would just clean this one up but the main jet in the center is seized and the slotted head is all stripped out so I can't remove it. The overflow hose nipple thing is missing, and someone put some rtv gasket in for the pan gasket instead of using an actual o-ring. Anyway this thing is a mess so I was just gonna get a new one. Can't find em discontinued. Anyone have any other part numbers that will work?

Thanks!

Hi Peter, I didn't see anything usable on his site but I reached out to Norm to see if he has any info. Has anyone else found a specific carb that works on this engine? Thanks for the help!

I haven't personally done any work on the more modern 300/400 or any of the 200 series carbs.

My thoughts:

Contact @76c12091520h  Brian Badman to see what K & B might have.

CALL Lincoln at A to Z Tractor in PA.

Put a wanted ad here on Redsquare.

@PWL216. Paul you got any other sources? I know youve had some 200 series rigs?

@ebinmaine Unfortunately no. I have two 257-H’s but haven’t had to do any carb work yet.

@cJ_3D I have the Parts & Service Manual for the 257/252-H and it shows the 252-H using carb 5001-2720. The 5001-2720 is readily available. I did a quick search to see what the differences are and couldn’t find anything. See #70 below…

@PWL216 Paul you're my hero buddy! Thank you so much! I'm ordering one right away! I need to get me a copy of that. Handy little book!
