Northern lights

Saw this on the news app earlier and I thought some of you might find it interesting.
Most of the USA should be able to see it with their naked eye or with a camera. They said “The storm will be strengthening from 10 p.m. Friday to 1 a.m. Saturday, but the best time to see them will likely be from 1 a.m. to 4 a.m. Saturday. The lights would likely fade again between 4 and 7 a.m. Saturday.”

This is in central time.

If I can stay awake.  May have to set the alarm.  Of course the bathroom usually calls me sometime during those hours.

They are saying rain for the next 7 days, so chances are slim the sky will be clear enough to see them.  :(

Issue here is that the mountain blocks our north facing view.

Dang.  Starting 10 pm, it’s supposed to either rain or be overcast until 8 pm tomorrow.

Some photos of the lake where I grew up from my SIL, and our tree in the front yard from Mrs.P.  My brother and SIL own the island and plan to make it a VRBO

We did get a wee tad bit of tree filtered view last night.

We don't have a camera that works well at night but you get the idea.

Have always wanted to see the northern lights so I am envious of all who could see it, even a little.  Completely overcast here.

My wife sent me a picture she cribbed from Facebook of the St. Louis arch against the illuminated sky. Credit to Schillers Camera in STL.

I just looked and there’s a chance for a second round of lights tonight around the same time.
