The 312A with manual lift has the Eaton 700 hydro. There is no tow release valve on the Eatons and the 700 is nearly impossible to move. Best to put it on a dolly till you can get the engine running. You may be able to hand push it by jiggling the motion control lever around the nuetral position. Do not tow or push with power. 2 1 Share this post Link to post Share on other sites

Give the tractor some left to right pressure and spin one rear wheel backwards while pushing it forward. 953 nut 54,279 #5 Posted May 4 If you have a two wheel hand truck you can put it under the rear end and pick up the transaxle then hold it down while someone pushes it backward. With the dump valve open, the Sundstrands can be safely towed. The Eatons can not be safely towed. The Eaton 1100 can be pushed by hand. Some of the Eaton 700s may be slowly pushed by hand by jiggling the motion control lever. Some Eaton 700s will not move at all. You have an Eaton 700. Tuneup 1,433 #17 Posted May 11 'Doesn't move anymore with engine running'. Sounds like it would be a screaming deal and an easy fix. Unusual to find these burned up but expected that they'd all be worn. 15W-50 fixed mine up nicely and is the recommended lubricant by a builder or two (yeah, internet but worked well here). I'm glad I'm not in the northeast where these things are more common. My shed would have to start having levels of storage. 4 is enough (for now) and the 516H just goes and goes.
