When in the down position, yes, it increases the down force and traction. It was made in York, Pa. Did it work, I doubt it ? Mickwhitt 4,617 #47 Posted April 30 Having looked at it again, do you fit it to the wheel with the bolt loose, so you can access all three lug nuts, then lock it with the central bolt to make the wheel out of balance? If that's right I guess it mimics the action of bouncing up and down on the drive wheels that we try when unbogging a vehicle. Am I missing something? Probably that the pivot point is not centered in the wheel. The weight is free to pivot and due to the pivot point not being centered, the spinning wheel may create enough centrifugal force to overcome the graviitational force on the weight. I have not tested this device and as stated above, I doubt that it did anything to free a stuck vehicle.
