ebinmaine 69,234 #3 Posted April 26, 2024 I don't use it. There are diesel oils that can be used. I was recommended to use Kinetix brand by two local small engine shops.
lynnmor 7,443 #4 Posted April 26, 2024 Why do you think Kohler sells the proper oil?

Bill D 2,037 #7 Posted April 27, 2024 (edited) Consider Honda Pro GN4 10W-30. It's a true SJ oil. My local mechanic runs it in his dirt track race cars and swears by it. Honda also sells a full synthetic oil, but for that price I'd buy Amsoil Zrod. Edited April 27, 2024 by Bill D
bds1984 1,457 #8 Posted April 27, 2024 Fill it, use it, run it, change it, sleep well at night, and repeat. Maintenance is more critical that anything.
