John c 79 #1 Posted April 26 Can somebody tell me how much oil I need to refill my 1100 for fluid & filter change. Is there any big advantage to using a synthetic oil, what about the SAE classification, I think it's up to SN now, is there any reason to look for another SAE class oil ? lynnmor 7,352 #2 Posted April 26 It will take between 4 and 5 quarts. There is no reason to run synthetic oil but it might be better if you use the tractor in a wide range of temperatures. The SN doesn’t mean much since it isn’t an engine. I use Castrol semi-synthetic for its somewhat higher zinc and can tell there is some improvement over regular oil.
