6wheeler 603 #1 Posted April 20 (edited) Hi all. I found something about this tractor I do not like. The flip seat. Even though there seems to be a spot on the pan for a safety catch? There is nothing on the frame. I was carrying some parts to put up on a shelf. I stumbled a bit and tried to grab the Electro 12 seat. It flipped backwards. ( like it should). I fell onto my old wooden 6' step ladder. I did not get hurt. But, the ladder is junk. I am going to make the seat pan non- flipping. That is a very poor design. Just warning you all for these back flip seats. I never had one before. I wonder how many people got tossed off the back until someone said. " Uh, yeah. I think this could be a problem". Be careful. Live and learn. Edited April 20 by 6wheeler Sorry. My phone died. Couldn't load pics.

You are missing a part on your tractor. The flip up fenders were supplied with a latch since their first year in 1965. From '65-'67 they used a slide latch the caught the cross bar under the fenders. In '68 when they switched to foot boards instead of stirrups they switched to a spring loaded latch that was mounted to the cross bar that supports the back of the foot boards, Edited April 20 by Achto

squonk 41,067 #8 Posted April 20 (edited) The bar that goes across the bottom of the flip fenders that the latch catches has a tendency to wear away, break or ends up missing. Edited April 20 by squonk
