SylvanLakeWH 25,561 #4 Posted March 31 Brave brave man... The Maynha Press: @ebinmaine was last seen videoing the BBT on an alleged hydro Wheel Horse... It has been months since Eb has been seen or heard from... Local authorities questioned and released BBT who simply said something about a preference for gears, her dojo, teaching Eb some martial arts and vague references to frying pans...anyone who sees or hears from Eb is asked to determine if we can have his stockpiles of C-160's... 16

8ntruck 7,004 #7 Posted April 1 'It's weird'. Yup, I agree. I keep stomping the brake on my C-195 and fishing around over the console looking for the gear shift. Old muscle memory die hard. 1

Our Moffett forklifts at work are fully hydrostatic. They have the controls set up well. All 4 limbs have a job and there's no switching around like from steering wheel to controls. For me - it would make all the difference. I believe she'd still prefer a Manual transmission.

We're considering adding another Hydro for gardening purposes.

midpack 866 #12 Posted April 1 Looks like most of the snow has melted. That went quick! Oh, and I like a manual transmission too 😉

Sailman 1,291 #17 Posted April 1 I have both gear drives and hydro's....both have their benefits. Mowing the lawn with lots of twists and turns would be a pain with gear drive. Nothing but the Hydro for me for that job. And.....hydro lift is sooooo nice!

kpinnc 12,062 #20 Posted April 2 Even a hydro without hydraulic lift is twice as fast with mowing and anything grading or pushing the plow blade... But my 8 speeds definitely tow, till, and plow (moldboard) better. 1
