xstang77 2 #1 Posted March 29 As title states I've been doing some research but no definitive answer,I have a tiller I want to mount on my early model (late 80s) 520h I already have the axle bracket from the snow plow and I believe the tube also came on these model years. What else exactly do I need,a cable i can rig up to work with my existing rockshaft i use for my deck and plow ? What about the pulley set up? Something I can easily make up? Or does anyone have one they'd let go at a decent price? Money's real tight currently so spending $300+ to get this attached isnt doable but would really like to get this tiller attached I've had sitting 2 years now. Thanks for any help! mrc 812 #2 Posted March 30 the snowplow bracket allows to to attach the tiller so that is a good start. unfortunately you need a lot more. you need the following: cable that runs in the tube on top of the tranny rear rockshaft which mounts under fender mid mount pulley set up (specific for tillers) tiller belt (very long) all of this can be had from one of our vendors called wheelhorse parts and more. his name is lowell not cheap though. keep in mind that a complete tiller setup from wheelhorse back in the day was around $1300. ish you see used tillers for $150-300. but that is generally for just the bare tiller. good luck
daveoman1966 3,752 #3 Posted March 30 If on a tight budget (aren't we all), you can make the Mid-Mount Idler Pulley Assembly with parts from a local hardware.

Thanks for the link I'll get to work on fabbing I imagine ebay is the most affordable place to source the pulleys and wh collar etc or is the collar something can match up at lowes? Otherwise is it correct to assume then I'll just have to order the rear rockshaft kit with cable from the vendor and a belt and I might be in business for under $200?
