Wild Bill 633 845 #1 Posted March 29 (edited) A Hoyer patient lift makes a great small engine lift. I purchased mine used, but in like new condition for $150. I added a fabricated spreader bar. It has a 400 lb capacity and includes a padded u-sling with head support and a commode sling with positioning strap. You should have seen the look on my wife's face after I unloaded it from the back of the truck. I told her I was investing in my future. Honestly, I haven't tried out the slings. LOL! elcamino/wheelhorse 9,297 #2 Posted March 29 I picked up a similar unit years ago at Goodwill for $25.00 then picked up a small woodstove from a thrift store for $100.00 sand stuff both in the XC 70 Volvo wagon while Mrs. El and I were in vacation , 250 miles from home. Boy you talk about the look I got plus there were lot of words that filled the air. I use my lift all the time .same with the stove. 2 3
SPINJIM 1,981 #3 Posted March 29 It worked for me. Here's a picture of it lifting a Kohler 12, but also used it for two different Onan twins. 4
elcamino/wheelhorse 9,297 #4 Posted March 29 @SPINJIM That is the lift I have , each to take part and strap the parts to a wall. I use it to lift tractor with mower deck to grease the hidden grease zerk for the front pivot point and front spindles.
