Achto 27,565 #1 Posted March 22 This round nose showed up on my door step around 9:30 last night. According to the belt guard it may be an 854, not sure though. The engine that is in it is a K161, not a K181. The realest in me says "Part it out". The dreamer in me says "You don't have an 854" A P.O. smashed the crap out of the carb & air cleaner. Fuel pump and the hood are missing. Either way, I think that the HY pump was worth the price of admission & the rear tires are not in bad shape either. 7

SylvanLakeWH 25,535 #4 Posted March 22 As Monty Python would say: "Just a flesh wound..." Some curds, wee bit o' bourbon, parts from @WHX??'s shed... good to go. 6 1
953 nut 55,189 #5 Posted March 22 That is a keeper, not too many 854s have the highly desirable swivel seat option. 2
ri702bill 8,316 #6 Posted March 22 (edited) Hmmm... I'm thinking it could be a 702.... Is the battery tray welded or bolted in?? Looks not to be a cambered front axle... and I see the one single tierod.2 or 5 lug rear hubs?? And, I see one cast rear wheel weight! Odd steering wheel might be from a 603. Looks to be a "Frankenmutt" !! Edited March 22 by ri702bill 1

Serial number does put it in the line up of 854 numbers. As I stated the engine is a K161 instead of a K181. Model & serial number on the HY3 pump. A P.O. did some customizing on the filler plug. Not the end of the world, looks like it should still work. Also feels like the return spring for the control lever is broken. Thanks to the likes of Lowell, this is not a big deal either. Dan could always grab a hood off Jim's porch rail and custom fit it. How about a square hooded round-hood; that would confuse the heck out of some of the experts, Drive it through the Big Show parade and give "Wild Bill" something to talk about!
