Could someone please post a link to a good oil down technique for shining up an old Wheel horse with dull paint.

Oil attracts dirt and dust. Gets on your hands and clothes.

Wipe or brush this on instead. Available at home Depot and Lowes

Flood Penetrol Oil-Based Paint Additive

@23 Reo , would probably suggest a restore patina , have regularly , retained / saved paint , with lubrication , matter of fact , just pulled out a 312 , that was sitting for a week with mineral oil on / in it , just gently sprayed it on and oiled cloth it down , did not touch it for a  week , then a clean cloth wipe down , looks clean / clear .  almost zero oil debris on it .

The paint on this tractor was pretty much shot. I wish I got a "Before pic "  1 coat of Penetrol. You can rest your hand on it and shoot the breeze and not get all slimy.  Skip the oil!

Oil can't help but attract dust and dirt and get all over cloths and such. If it dried out it wouldn't be much good at what it was intended for. Buffing and a good paste wax will get the job done. I've never tried the mentioned Penetrol but I like what I see. :)
