Andy N. 2,142 #1 Posted March 1 Just curious if anyone has the Horseshoe brand of Ag tires installed on any of their WH's. I have never heard of the Horseshoe brand tires until I saw this on Amazon. A set of 2 23x10.5-12 8 ply is about the same price as 1 Carlisle tire of the same size 23x10.5-12, 4 ply. It's definitely a deal, but is it too good to be true. I have a spare set of 8.5" rims that are sitting around and need some tires and want to go the ag route. I have been happy with the Carlisle's on my 418-A that I installed a few years ago, but it would be great if I can get Horseshoes for my Horse at about 1/2 the price. ri702bill 8,316 #2 Posted March 1 (edited) Do they list either the installed diameter or circumference?? All too many tires are not "true" to size...... Nice to see the lugs cross over center to give a better ride on pavement.... I looked at the ad in the link - these are listed as Nylon tires..... had a set of Nylon snow tires back in the '70's - they wore like iron, BUT, they developed a flat spot from sitting overnight - rode like the Flintstonemobile for a few miles! Being on a tractor may not be an issue.......... AND one of the comments said they were Taller than the ones replaced.... I'd agree for most situations. Ours is a little unconventional in that my heavier towing rigs could utilize the extra rigid sidewall and have zero air pressure and fluid filled while maintaining good load capacity. 1 Share this post Link to post Share on other sites
Lee1977 6,656 #13 Posted March 2 (edited) I had these 6 ply mounted on 8.5" rims at the tire shop, He put the first one he grabbed the small blaster the tire hardly moved.
