Rear work light on 315-8 Add on or Factory Item?

Question, has Toro Wheel Horse ever offered a rear work light on their machines?

I was looking at a 315-8 today and it has a light mounted under the seat pan on the vertical support for the seat pan. Sure looks factory.

It's not listed inToro's Accessories List for the 315-8.

I could not find anything anywhere. Sure looks like their style.

Lots of bigger tractors had them as an accessory, so it stands to reason someone adapted it to work on your 315-8. Maybe aftermarket for any tractor.

Probably not a factory add-on… but super handy to have.

Agreed. 

That's an excellent looking bracket either machine made or a very high quality metal worker. 

 

Certainly agree with the others above above having a rear light. 

Even the tiny little 3/4" LEDs are now bright enough the see where you're going.

I'm not sold on the location. On the fence. I always thought the ones like sparky and Jim got on the seat pan were the best. 

One other good addition is a rear view mirror. I have a small one on the loader and works okay. I have bigger one just have not mounted it as of yet.

We mount our rear work lights below the fender for practicality reasons. But... all our tractors have tilt fenders. I wanted the light to remain stable.  

 

I've also considered the rear view mirror. 

Haven't done one yet because both of us can still easily twist and turn to see about and also because our single cylinder engines vibrate so much the mirror isn't usable.  

I have used glasses frame mounted mirrors in the past while bicycling. That might be more feasible.

I'd love a rear view mirror(s) to back up the ramp into my shed. I can't turn my head like an owl!

If I try to twist my body, it takes weight off the seat and the motor stops. I just can't find a good place for mounting.

Most of our horses are older ones but the newer stuff that may have had a seat switch....

Well sometimes they fall off.

We mounted ours near the top of the seat back to get a good angle and spread. We wired them inside under the seat cushion and out the bottom to a two-conductor bullet connector.  Power is from the rear lights with an extra switch so rear light is on only when needed.
