From the looks of those tins and fins it was aptly named! Great pics, thanks for sharing.

Yep.

This was BBTs go- to rig for 4 years+

No mowing but apparently a dusty yard.

867s were somewhat few and far between 10-15 years ago. Now they seem to be more common. Even so, still a personal favorite of mine. I can't wait to see what you guys come up with!

A little elbow grease and she could shine a bit!

Beautiful mo-chine Mike!

I'd be curious to see how well this tractor would shine up if Trina tried to wet sand it.

This one's pretty rough....

Might need a @AMC RULES polishing!

Easy resto, just takes some manual labor.

In the right hands, thing will have the perfect patina.

WHX??

Going to MN tomorrow to pick up a free C-145. and go see @Shynon. I bought a nice orginal 867 from him a few years ago and trading him for a HF tool chest. I just don't use it enough. He is going to put a deck on it and a daily mower.

Went to load and going up the ramp snubbed her out.

Went to restart and let some smoke out from behind the dash. Ignition switch switch fried. :crying-blue:

Coulda swore I had one on the shelf!

Guess I didn't @Mike'sHorseBarn Call to Mr Brown in order.

WHX??

Gotta feeling gonna regret letting this one go. Nice thing about trading with bros is one stands a good chance of getting it back.

Just for grins @Sparky is that seat on yours original and a smooth one with no embossing? Looks like it.

Id ask EB the same question but looks like someone is riding bareback... :D

Thanks Mikey ... the gorilla tape don't count as we is figuring you is gonna have some on you when you get that old...

Well that just shoots my research on the correct seat for any '67 - 6/8 speed down. Three different 867s three different... maybe more ... orginal seats found. I give up I'm going bald...

Mine is the same but does not have the :wh:.

Got any extra tape ? Tom is gonna need some!

Jimbo I've done some pokin around on that seat issue in the past.

Trina has a 657, 857, 867.

I've never been able to find a consistent "standard" seat for a 1967.

Soooo... that said EB I think we just have to chalk it up to whatever was on the line in the day. Only excuse I can come up with. Think we covered the frugality of the Ponds before.

Little time today.

BBT got her seat pan off and did some vacuuming on the chassis.

Some more disassembly this evening.

We weren't exactly hoping to rebuild the transmission but both wheel seals are leaking. One bearing is a tad loose. The Limited Slip Differential spring is worn out.

So we tried to drain it.....

The lower drain plug is stuck.

We finished removing the wheels and tipped the chassis up a little to allow the side drain to get the job started.

A few pics.
