Actually, I’ve been scouting around for some 1-¾" x ⅝" bar stock to make an adaptor for a slot hitch. I have the WH slot-to-sleeve adaptor but I want to make one with a trailer ball. I couldn't find any 1 3/4" X 5/8" so i bought some 2" X 3/4" and used a portaband to 1/8" slabs from three sides to make it fit.
Achto 28,761 #6 Posted February 1, 2024 I have made some Brinly adaptors using 1 3/4 x 1/2. @WHX?? managed to bend one of my adaptors some how, We straitened it out and moved the pin hole to get the adaptor close to the slot hitch. After he had this issue I shortened my hitch up right away too. Been holding up now for the last few years.

Online, the right stuff is about $1 an inch from Walmart, of all places. Minimum order is 24” but with free shipping. I only need about six or seven inches.

Since then throw in in reverse for a foot or two to get the suck point out of the furrow. World of difference on lifting it by hand or HY.
