TonyToro Jr. 1,525 #1 Posted January 28 I have my C-145 with an Eaton 1100 transmission. It has the original oil and hydro filter on and I’m just now realizing that it is probably time to service the Rear end. Today I did a little research and found that a NAPA GOLD 1410 hydraulic filter would work. So I got it. But now I’m not sure what oil to put in it. It has hydraulic lift and a hydro trans so I was thinking just to put regular Hydraulic fluid in? Thoughts? Correct me if I’m wrong but the Eaton trans have the filter to the rear left and Sunstrand have them on the side right? So if I’m correct the filter is the rear left of the trans so that would make it a Eaton 1100? Share this post Link to post Share on other sites

squonk 41,291 #8 Posted January 28 Buy a gallon. Remove one of the bolts in the top of the trans that holds the lift cable tube on. This helps remove the air. It will fill slow. Put 3 quarts in and let it sit a bit. Check tthe level. Then start it and activate the lift a few times. Take it for a ride then shut it off and let it sit again. Recheck level. Sometimes you have to do this a few times. Check the vent in dipstick cap it vents through the handle. Go to the manuals section and search. It will take about 4 to 5 quarts. Drain it while warm and then jack up the front to get a little more out.
