C-105 Won’t Crank

Recommended Posts

PWL216

I’m trying to get a C-105 to crank over, with a new battery - nothing I’ve done so far has worked…

  1. Turn the key, nothing
  2. Jumped it at the starter, cranks
  3. Jumped it at the solenoid, cranks
  4. Apply power to solenoid trigger wire, cranks
  5. Replaced the key switch, no crank
  6. Bypassed all safety switches, no crank
  7. Jumped the ammeter, no crank
  8. Checked continuity of all connections, no crank
  9. Checked all fuses, no crank
  10. ** There is on disconnected wire, shown in pic, that I grounded, no crank.

Im fairly sure there’s an incomplete circuit, but I’m not finding it. Any ideas?

Thx.

Think your loose wire should go to battery +

Check grounds... My C105 has had several instances where grounds need some love...

At the ignition switch are you getting voltage to the "S" terminal when the key is turned to start? If yes, are you getting voltage to the brake switch input side from your ignition switch when the key is turned to start? With the key turned off test for continuity across the brake switch at rest and when activated, is it working?

@pfrederi Thank you! This was the problem. I thought I had tried that but apparently I hadn’t.
