RED-Z06 2,479 #1 Posted January 23, 2024 I found a new cable for my 702, but it has no nut on the back. The nut off the old cable goes on a half turn. Im guessing its 9/16" because thats the hole size? Is this a common thing people buy?
ri702bill 8,963 #2 Posted January 23, 2024 You need to check the thread pitch.... should be 9/16" - fine thread. I also had to make a pair of OE looking round knurled nuts for the 502....
RED-Z06 2,479 #3 Posted January 23, 2024 I found my thread checker and both threads matched so i forced the nut on with vice grips and it went on, i think the cable had a tweaked thread. So for future reference...9/16 nut, either coarse or fine thread

They went out of business

May take a few times but it straightens the threads.
