ebinmaine 70,697 #1 Posted January 22, 2024 I've been asked a few times for pics and measurements of the link arm that attaches the governor to the carb on our Kohler engines. These are from a 1967 Kohler 8 HP on an 867. Length is 2 1/2" I don't know the wire diameter. Measurements were accomplished with an official tourist trap metal ruler from Mt Washington that's 40+ years experienced. 1
ri702bill 8,963 #2 Posted January 22, 2024 Wuz you the "Hand Model" there, Bear?? A personal "good" place to start is middle hole on both levers. Moving the link up or down affects the action - you want WOT with the cable pulled all the way, and to be on the idle stop screw of the carb with the cable pushed all the way in. Sounds easy??? - not really. Practice and patience.....
