Brooklyn581 30 #1 Posted January 21 Hello. I found a deal on a snow thrower and want to pick it up and make it work with my new to me Electro Charger 12. It looks like it has the shorter tac-a-matic pully and mount system. Can anyone tell me how to go about making it work mount and pully wise on my machine? Is it even possible? Feasible? I'm wondering if it would mount direct to the frame hole on the older model and what changes I would have to make or if I would need to find and Install a tac a matic mount. Or if that is even possible. I attached a few photos of my tra tor & one of the potential tlsnow thrower. Greatfull for this forun and any input / expertise.
Ed Kennell 38,133 #2 Posted January 21 to the This is too weird. The same question was just asked. Scroll down to the Snowblower Retrofit thread. You'll find your answers. 1
wallfish 16,994 #3 Posted January 21 Just as Ed noted. Here's the same question and same tractor linked below and you are more than welcome to ask questions on that thread too
daveoman1966 3,751 #4 Posted January 21 You only need to mount a Front Tach-o-Matic hitch to the Hood Hinge Plate. Here is a .pdf file with pics of how/what to do: MULE DRIVE UPGRADE.pdf 2
Ed Kennell 38,133 #5 Posted January 21 You have a short chute single stage blower and it appears everything is there. The push /lift rod, the flag w/a spacer, and side extensions that are even installed correctly. Looks like it has spent some time outside, so probably requires some maintenance. Our resident Grease Guru will probably be along with some good advice. @peter lena The other thread we referenced is for a tall chute single stage, but the mounting is the same.
NA73 70 #6 Posted January 21 been a while. but yeah. you can directly mount a 'tach-a-matic' front piece to an older WH via welding AND/OR nuts/bolts... I did do it a couple years back but, unfortunately, I don't any have pictures - didn't think they'd would be needed. best bet would be to have multiple machines with and without the front tach-a-matic to get any measurements needed.
