Most WH tractors have a manual PTO that is adjusted by turning the trunnion just above it. The correct adjustment would be just tight enough that it will not slip, for example a snowblower may need a rather firm adjustment. Share this post Link to post Share on other sites

The lever shouldn't end up hard to push because there's quite a bit of mechanical leverage pushing on that plate.
