oliver2-44 9,848 #2 Posted January 20 Nice project tractors. Lots of friendly help here. I saw your looking for an H60 engine, what's on it now? You might consider putting Kohler K161,181 on it. The Tecumseh ignition parts are getting hard to find and can be cantankerous to work with.
DPrice 24 #4 Posted January 20 It has a H80 off I think a snowblower on it. It's stuck. I'd like to put it back to original, I actually enjoy looking for parts.

wallfish 17,078 #6 Posted January 20 A 654 is used for my snow plow tractor. There's lots of Lawn Rangers that used that same hood. You'll need a belt guard too unless you can find one of those kits which come with one. SR-64 speed reducer kit is going to be a very tough one to find. But you can reduce the speed by using a bigger drive pulley on the trans. Do you have a tiller as well?

ML3 1,254 #10 Posted February 21 (edited) Welcome!! I use my 654 for plowing snow. Was surprised at how good it does. I also have a mower deck so sometimes I mow with it when I wanna just "play" It's still got original Tecumseh in it. Feel free to ask any questions. 953 nut 55,739 #11 Posted February 21 You are of to a good start, the 654 looks very complete and just needs the belt guard. Most people seem to want their to go faster. You have the right idea, slow down and get more seat time.
