Maybe some of the cab guys can post up a few detail photos... I'm old and old school so I don't have one - I freeze... :banana-skier:

One would be surprised how adaptable they are. Many of the brackets can be fashioned from 1/2" conduit.

I picked up a cab cheap that was for a later 70's C series. PO had it modded on a later 60's square hood. After minor reworking I fit it on a 520 easy enough.

Never messed with an XI cab tho.

I'm not sure on how much different the cabs are from one to another.  I've been told the 522xi is wider and won't work which will suck. I've been going back and forth with original cab and getting some information.  Unfortunately the guy that worked for them that specializes in the cabs for wheel horse retired a year ago.

I have never had the optional glass and wiper. OTC describes it with a forward inclination to help the plastic windshield stay clean in most cases.

You are doing it right Jody.  And  :text-welcomeconfetti:to the :rs: If you need more pictures, I could get some tomorrow of the cab on my 520H.  The mounting should be the same on a 417A.

That would be fantastic.  If it's no trouble if you can find what model number your cab is would be great also.

These photos will show you what to expect with a cab and LED headlights.  As you can see the LEDs don't get hot enough to melt the snow and the only usable window in the cab is the wiped area of the glass windshield.

I have no clue if I'm messaging on this site properly.  I was wondering what model cab you have that has the glass windshield and windshield wiper.  I think it's taking me just as long to figure out how to learn  this page as it is learning about wheel horse tractors. 🤣

The glass windshield and wiper is an option on the cabs. They were a bit pricey. The plastic windshield is a separate piece that uses velcro if I remember correctly. Remove that and install the glass one if it's still available. Don't think they produce those for the 3,4 and 500 series tractors anymore, but may still offer the glass/ wiper set up.  @Jody14

I have 2 cabs the newer one is model #79978 and the older one is #79943.  They are both identical except for the door latches and one has a white roof and the other is black.  One is on a 417 the other is on a 416.

I have two tractors with cabs. A 417-A and a C-141 8-Speed. I found the glass windshield lying in the woods behind a Ford New Holland dealer. Added a wiper, lights and heat.

Wow that was a good score. Nice looking fleet you have there. I had a hard time finding one cab, and you have 2. Unfortunately mine isn't working out so well.

Nice setup.  I like the way yours mounts up. Mine isn't even close with the brackets on it. The model number on mine isn't even one I was sent brochures on by original cab. I am wondering if mine is even for a wheel horse.

I made my cab out of 3 different ones...

The brackets can be modified if you're handy, you can also place an ad in the for sale / wanted / trade section too.

@WHX?? had good Ideas too, I did lots of looking through the manuals comparing parts...

I'm going to see if I can find out a few things to see if there's anything I can do to make it fit.  If not I'll be selling it for what I paid for it.

Thanks.

@Jody14 I can get you a model number off the cab on my 417 if you would like. Jim’s pictures are the same cab.
