paulyv56 152 #1 Posted January 8, 2024 (edited) I was a little nervous, but the 312-8 worked great. 9 " heavy snow. The Kohler was strong and that deep growl while diggin was killer. The 2 stage is very heavy for the small frame, under way its a beast traveling raised it has some weight out front. 150# weighted out back. i was a happy operator after 23 hours in a loader. ri702bill 8,613 #3 Posted January 9, 2024 The blower sometimes works better when you take a bigger bite - sometimes... All about engine condition, max RPM, and ground speed. These old workin' girls will tell you when they are happy - and when they are not. All about listenin' & learnin'.... 4

I took it off due to it not fitting in the shed.

peter lena 8,931 #6 Posted January 9, 2024 @paulyv56 your most important reply of finding ( a sweet spot ,) thats what most people miss ! oblivious to any effort or response to attachments . also do what you can , as you learn . find what spots need help . rear weight , a more complete tire chain , etc. , also helps , put a knob on that blower end chute lever , threading die nut , hard ware store , screw on knob , Pete
WHGuy413 2,769 #7 Posted January 9, 2024 I’ve always loved watching snow blowing videos when it’s a Wheel Horse involved. I never have seen a 2 stage in a 312 but yours clearly handled it with no problem. Like stated above it’s all about finding the sweet spot. Once you do it’s game on.
