Pogo 57 10 #1 Posted January 8, 2024 Have a K181S from and my 1974 B-80 4 Speed. Engine smokes. ILooking at a ring job and suggestion on how far to go. Problem is the original tg is missing. rmaynard 15,913 #2 Posted January 8, 2024 Pretty straight forward. If you don't have cylinder measuring tools, I would take it to a good small engine machine shop and have it measured. I'm lucky and have a brother who has the bore measuring tools but yes best let a machine shop do it if you don't have that bro. Then you can order the proper piston/ring/rod set you might need. Most problems we all have now is finding the shop that is willing and proficient in messing with our motors. You really don't need the name plate.
