wallfish 17,142 #2 Posted January 7, 2024 Nice! You will find that loading up that single stage blower is when it actually performs the best. Just a little engine grunt is what I found as the best. Practice with different ground speeds in different conditions and as you get more comfortable with it and you'll find the sweet spots rather quickly! 8

peter lena 8,952 #4 Posted January 7, 2024 @wallfish really favor that functional view of how are things working ? all too often hear , fun it flat out and the hell with it ! always look see / sense what's going on ? struggle , noisy , failure happening ? just the way I see things , but have regularly , corrected / eliminated a chronic problem. like the effortless phase of motion , have a good day , Pete

Having the ability to change speeds without gear changing is so important when using a blower especially in this wet heavy snow. For us old farts, the hydro lift and a heated cab and a foot pedal motion control is also a must.
Bill D 2,042 #6 Posted January 7, 2024 Like the setup. Consider putting a guard on the spreader to keep salt off the tractor.
lynnmor 7,447 #7 Posted January 7, 2024 Also, put a “shower cap” over the spreader hopper to keep water and debris out.
bds1984 1,457 #8 Posted January 8, 2024 Not going to lie, I am a bit envious of those of you who have snow to plow or snow-blow. I've been more than patiently waiting here in Michigan for some snow! I'm sure @Pullstart is waiting for snow for his snowmotractor! 4

As for the Snowmowtractor, I think it needs to patiently wait it’s turn in the shop again..
