fourwheelhorseman 352 #1 Posted January 6, 2024 (edited) I have had a couple of those in past. Why did people remove these? I’m looking for one for my 160, are these hard to find? Edited January 6, 2024 by fourwheelhorseman
ebinmaine 70,696 #2 Posted January 6, 2024 Are we talking about changing a Short Chute snowblower to a Tall Chute?

gwest_ca-(File Mod) 11,243 #6 Posted January 7, 2024 The chute will be specific to the mower deck - not the model of tractor. Do you know the model number of the deck?

Do you know the model number of the deck? 5-1210 48” inch side discharge is what I have in my paperwork.

The deck manual came with my tractor along with all the paperwork.. even the quality assurance tag. The fella who I got it from, got it from the original owner, we are all local and knew each other. fourwheelhorseman 352 #10 Posted January 7, 2024 The original owner purchased a tiller, snowblade and a lawn vac. He kept all these manuals inside a plastic zip loc folder type of thing. It might sound weird, but I’m pretty happy knowing the history of this old tractor.
c-series don 9,425 #11 Posted January 7, 2024 I took mine off because I believe it impedes the dispersement of the clippings. That was almost 40 years ago, lord knows what I did with it!!
RED-Z06 2,479 #12 Posted January 11, 2024 I think i have one for a 48, i put it on my 42 and it added like a foot to the width. My other 42 has the short extension and it clogs up on grass bad
