Lift arm is too low.

Is there a way to keep the lift arm up some. I rigged mine so I do not have to reach too far forward to grab it.

A solid link to the plow frame instead of using any chain will keep it from going all the way forward

Looks like you have an early 300 series WITHOUT the height adjust for the lift lever..... adding one is a huge benefit...

How can I add the lift adjuster? I See no were to mount it.

Well I have a JD green one now on it that is in the picture. The wheel horse red one I had was too short

In 1984 I purchased a GT-100 new and it didn't include the Dial-A Height but there was an add on kit available which I purchased. It included the circled items as well as a tunnel plate with the cutout but you could modify the plate you have. I doubt you'll find the kit anymore but the parts are out there. The parts remained the same through the years. :)

Call Lincoln, at A-Z Tractor 1-717-821-2541 and tell him what your looking for, he'll know what you need. The holes for the assembly are under the console plate already, you can get a plate for it from Lincoln or cut out the plate you have. I did my 312-8 a couple of years ago for less than $100 and a little over an hour, just remember that lift adjustment is not for you deck height.

Exactly the parts I was referring to..... and it is a true bolt-in procedure. This mechanism is a HUGE help if you plow snow from pavement onto the grass - allows you to skim over the grass, not rip it up....
